Logan,
Sorry to hear that you lost your farm. It's usually pretty hard to find a good farm on the Eastern Shore without paying an arm and leg. If I hear of anything I will certainly let you know. I think with the economy the way it is, peoples money is probably getting pretty tight. With that being said, some people may be giving some of their leases up just because they don't have the money. It might not hurt to run some adds in some local newspapers of some areas that you are interested in. You never know, but it might work out for you. With what some of the leases are now a days it's almost cheaper just to book hunts with outfitters depending how much opportunity you get to go during the season. I know of a few outfitters that are selling corporate hunts, meaning ten hunts for up to 4 or 5 people for discounted prices than just a single or 3 day hunt. When you figure ten hunts into a 45 day hunting season, it's really more hunting opportunity than most people realize. By the time you figure what a good field goes for and then putting in blinds or pits and then all the expense of decoys it's sometimes better to just do the corporate hunt deal and just show up and shoot if you don't get alot of opportunity to hunt. Like I said, if I hear of anything I'll let you know.
"It's a SHORE THING!"
