It's been pretty bad here...

I duck hunted 3 out of 4 days last week (MLK weekend) and only shot 7 birds. The biggest surprise were the BWT from last Friday...

Here's a picture from MLK:

I am out here in Western Missouri about one hours SE of Kansas City. We have had the best Canada goose season ever at least at my place. I have seen anything like this in the last 3 years. Tomorrow is the last day and it should be another great day of hunting.

deere call,
I didn't get a chance to post up much during the season but we had a great goose season. Our duck season was slow. There were some guys in the area that were doing good with the ducks, but they don't really goose hunt. So they were putting most of their time in with the ducks and it payed off for them. We had a few good duck shoots but we were mainly zig'n when we should have been zag'n! It was one of the best goose seasons that we've had since it came back in. The geese were alot tougher to hunt this year right from the start. I really think that there were alot less juvenile birds this year and alot more older experienced birds. We were getting them but it was taking us alot more than usual to get them, but there certainly was no shortage of geese. I didn't take as many photos as I usually do, but I'll try to get some posted up. It was good hearing from you the other evening. Keep in touch and don't be a stranger!
